My career began after receiving my BA in Psychology and my MS in Education Psychology from the University of WI-Milwaukee. I have over 15 years of social service experience in therapeutic and non traditional environments. My ability to assess clients’ needs for clinical, vocational, and social rehabilitative services will serve to be valuable.
It is my personal mission to promote growth and development, with regard to both personal characteristics and interpersonal competencies. As a client-focused therapist, I aim to provide skilled and trustworthy therapy delivered with skill, integrity, focus, authenticity, warmth and professionalism, while having some creative fun along the way as I support each client’s goals. I am committed to building self-esteem, improving decision making, and developing appropriate coping skills for youth and adults in the community.
I've work with individuals, couples and families with a variety of needs through my many years in the social services field in various roles, I am well-equipped to provide you with resources beyond your mental health needs. Anxiety can mean worry, nervousness, or self-doubt. Sometimes, the cause of it is easy to spot, while other times it may not be. Everyone experiences some level of anxiety once and while. However, when anxiety is overwhelming and reoccurring it can impact people tremendously. When this occurs consider counseling, it will help manage those feelings.
Depression affects one and three people at some time in their life. We all go through ups and downs in our moods. Sadness is a normal reaction to life's struggles, setbacks and disappointments. However, clinical depression is much more than just sadness, it interferes with a persons ability to function in every day life. Consider seeking counseling.
